Our inclusive curriculum celebrates diversity and promotes tolerance and mutual respect of others. Our academy carefully maps how our curriculum provision supports our students’ personal growth and promotes fundamental British values: social, moral, spiritual and cultural awareness; personal, social and health education and relationships and sex education.

We are embarking on the Award Place Belonging Award. This will be a 12-month journey to secure an outstanding sense of belonging across all areas of the academy.

The School Belonging Award has been created to recognise and celebrate schools that place belonging at the centre of their ethos, systems, and practice. It honours schools that understand that every child, regardless of background, identity or need, deserves to feel valued, included and able to flourish. It champions leaders who know that belonging is not a soft concept but a strategic driver of excellence.

Belonging is reflected not only in ethos and values, but also in behaviour systems, curriculum design, attendance practice, leadership decisions and the quality of interactions across the school. In such environments, pupils are more likely to attend, participate, achieve and develop a strong sense of identity, purpose and connection to others.
